The UK’s first social media training centre has been launched in the Highlands to offer businesses the chance to understand and make the most of this new online marketing channel.
The 4TM centre in Forres – the brainchild of industry experts, David Sim and Rene Looper – has been created to provide practical, hands-on workshops to a wide range of businesses and organisations. The workshops, which can be staged either at the centre or at client business premises, are designed to provide advice and the knowledge necessary to embrace social media for marketing, communication or change.
Among the workshop themes are:
* Setting up a blog
* Using Facebook for business
* Managing your online reputation
* Creating Podcasts
* Working with review sites like TripAdvisor
* YouTube - how it can benefit your business
* Social media inside organisations and companies
* E-Commerce, including online booking or online shops
* Setting up a Google Adwords campaign
* Google Analytics
Conducted in plain English, the workshops will demystify the world of social media, how it works and how businesses and organisations can make effective use of it. The workshops include practical exercises to position a business and make sure that the appropriate use of social media is made to reach customers or improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Says 4TM: “We can work with an organisation or business to ensure key individuals understand the benefits and issues associated with social media and how it can specifically be applied to resolve marketing or process issues that may be raised. We also hold more general workshops where a number of organisations, businesses and individuals can come together and learn together.”
Workshops can be held anywhere in the world, on-site at an organisation or business, or at the 4TM Social Media Training Centre based in Horizon Scotland, Forres.
