Orkney businesses can assure hospitality
25 April 2008

Three Orkney tourism businesses received a ‘Hospitality Assured’ award at a recent lunch held in the Kirkwall Hotel, hosted by Highlands and Islands Enterprise.

Rickla, a five star self catering outlet in Harray, the four-star Sands Hotel in Burray and the Tomb of the Eagles, a four star visitor attraction, were each awarded the prestigious accolade, which promotes and rewards the highest standards of service excellence for organisations in the Hospitality Industry and is endorsed by the British Quality Foundation and Quality Scotland Foundation.

Stewart Anderson, Owner of Rickla Self Catering said: “We were very pleased to achieve this award. All professional businesses aim to please their customers and hopefully build the business in the process, and this award has given us confidence in our ability to do that – to exceed customer expectations and continue to drive up quality and service."
