HIE chairman William Roe invites you to speak up

William Roe, chairman Highlands and Islands Enterprise

'Have your say' on the direction of economic and community development in the Highlands and Islands

To ensure our refreshed strategy would be as wide reaching and inclusive as possible, we undertook an extensive consultation process. This involved written consultation with over 100 key partners and stakeholders, an online web forum and questionnaire, a survey of the Network’s staff, and, most significantly, an independent telephone survey to gather a representative sample of opinion from residents, businesses and community groups.

This ensured all sections of the population were given the opportunity to express their views on the future direction of economic and community development in the region. The findings from this research provide an evidence base from which we can derive important messages.

A sincere 'thank you' to all who participated in this consultation which closed on Friday, 18 March, 2005.

You can download a summary of the survey's results here.
