Just Enterprise supports the enterprising Third Sector in Scotland. Supported by the Scottish Government, Just Enterprise assists social enterprises who show the greatest potential to grow and develop sustainably - that could be in terms of income, employment or contracts secured.
A range of support from a telephone advisory service, one-to-one development support, business consultancy and workshops, learning programmes and leadership courses are available across Scotland.
Just Enterprise offers highly flexible start-up support services to increase business skills and competencies and produce business ready entrepreneurs to develop growing and sustainable social enterprises.
Just Enterprise is able to offer advice as to whether your idea or business model fulfils the social enterprise model and information on how to access start-up finance (grants and loans). More specific support is available from experienced start-up advisors in relation to legal structures, developing your business plan and how to set up and run a successful social enterprise.
Just Enterprise Business Support services are designed to assist enterprising Third Sector organisations across Scotland (including those that are equalities-led) grow in financial resilience and sustainability and to operate as effective and/or growing businesses.

Just Enterprise will work alongside applicants to identify their individual support requirements which may include needs analysis, development support, feasibility studies, financial reviews and assistance with costing and pricing.
Just Enterprise Learning and Development services have been designed to ensure Third Sector leadership is enhanced to increase business skills and competencies in the sector and support business development and sustainability.
Transformational leadership programmes are designed to help you as an effective leader able to grow your organisation into a successful and resilient social business. All of the programmes are tailored to meet specific learning objectives, giving you the time, space and input to explore your own strengths as leaders of social organisations.
Just Enterprise offers learning events linked to key themes identified as a priority for the sector in Scotland. Training available includes Financial Management, Tendering for Contracts, Social Impact Measurement, Sales Techniques and Demystifying the Web.
Business development workshops are available targeted at developing particular business skills. Specific courses include: Legal Structures, Strategic Business Planning, Marketing, Market Research, Negotiation Techniques and Costing and Pricing.
Just Enterprise Procurement services are designed to assist enterprising Third Sector organisations to successfully participate in tendering for public sector contracts and capitalise on the opportunity presented by the adoption of community benefit clauses by procurement agencies. Support is available to Third Sector organisations, or groups of organisations who can demonstrate the growth potential, or the capacity and capability, to participate in public sector tendering.
Just Enterprise will work with public sector agencies to encourage and promote the use of Community Benefit Clauses (CBCs) and to raise awareness of the impact they can have. The programme will also work with Third Sector organisations to increase understanding of the opportunity that CBCs present. Support will be delivered by Just Enterprise and our partners Ready for Business.
Development support is designed to help Third Sector organisations win more competitively tendered public sector contracts either as individual organisations or through collaboration. Support will be provided by Just Enterprise business advisers to individual organisations or groups and will include assistance with capacity and capability development, identifying tenders, costing, planning and completing effective bids.
Tender writing workshops have been designed specifically for the sector and are offered at an introductory and advanced level. The content includes topics such as where to find opportunities, procurement terminology, key stages in the process, legal frameworks, what buyers are looking for, how to differentiate your organisation and how to refine a bid. The workshops will include practical elements and will be delivered by Just Enterprise advisers and guest speakers from the procurement community.
