HIE's Low Carbon Energy Systems (LCES) Technical Advice Framework has been put in place to provide support to communities and businesses across the Highlands and Islands to access technical project development advice to assist in the early stage/concept development of a low carbon energy systems project. Ricardo Energy and Environment (EE) are the contractors appointed to run this framework on behalf of HIE.
This framework will convert project support enquiries received by HIE into robust projects capable of accessing significant pathways of support, for example, support or funding schemes such as CARES Infrastructure and Innovation Fund (IIF), the Local Energy Challenge Fund (LECF), or the Low Carbon Infrastructure Transition Programme (LCITP) to name a few; providing early stage support to develop and scope low carbon energy systems concepts.
Ricardo will provide clients with impartial and professional technical project development advice to progress from early stage concept stage to a fully defined, well thought out low carbon project capable of attracting other forms of finance.
Advice is available in 3 stages:
1) Early stage project development advice
2) Options appraisals
3) Provision of advice and guidance to support clients to apply for funding streams
The framework provides support to communities and businesses across the Highlands and Islands, with the priority focusing on (but not restricted to) HIE account managed clients.
