Culture Power: Inspire to Develop Rural Areas

The CUPIDO project is about developing new business opportunities in the cultural and cultural heritage sector. This to reinforce the economic position, competitiveness and social cohesion of local rural areas. CUPIDO is cultural activities such as art, dance, music as well as cultural heritage.

  • The project has 16 partners from 7 countries and runs from 2018 to 2021
  • Total project budget is €4,558,586
  • Total funding from the European Regional Development Fund is €2,034,293

CUPIDO provides us with the opportunity to work with European partners to gain insight into new business approaches within the cultural sector, and stimulate the development of new creative products and services. We will work specifically with University of St Andrews delivering a range of transnational digital activities across the three project strands of Digital Adoption, Digital Connect and Digital Skills. Theses activities aim to enhance the use of digital as a means to modernise the region’s cultural offering and support commercial growth of participant cultural organisations.
