ESSENTIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

You must:

  • Discuss with CASE, prior to approval, various funding options which may be available to you, eg, Action Team Funding.
  • Have written approval before starting the training course or any money is paid out on the training.
  • Pay for your course yourself initially, and keep all your receipts and submit them as evidence of expenditure.
  • Have been registered unemployed for 3 months at the date of course starting or be employed for less than 16 hours per week. (NB: Students undertaking full-time education are not classed as being unemployed)

The training must:

  • Enhance your existing skills.
  • Improve your chances of employment.
  • Lead to a Vocational Qualification wherever possible.

Exclusions:

  • Academic training – ie, NC, HNC, HND, Degrees, Access Training, Post Graduate Courses, Open University, Summer Schools, Community Education Courses, Night Classes and Automobile Driving Courses.
  • Applications from any individual on Training For Work at the date of course starting.
  • Re-certification,eg, Survival Training, HGV, PCV, Coding, if registered less than 6 months unemployed.
  • Applications which do not contain a fee element.
  • More than one re-test.

Reimbursement:

  • Maximum £750 contribution per applicant per financial year.
  • Must be claimed within 4 weeks of completion of training.
  • Copy of certification must accompany final claim.
  • Staged payments will be made for all certificated courses, with 66% of reimbursement being paid on submission of receipts and 34% being paid on submission of a copy of the certificate.

Reimbursement Rates:

  • Registered unemployed – certificated course 75%
  • Registered unemployed – uncertificated course 25%
  • Part-time employed (< 16 hours), leading to full-time employment – certificated course 50%
  • Part-time employed (< 16 hours), leading to full-time employment – uncertificated course 25%
  • Part-time employed (< 16 hours ) no expected change in status – certificated course 30%
  • Part-time employed (< 16 hours) no expected change in status – uncertificated course 25%

General:

  • All CASE assistance is discretionary
  • Every Application is assessed on its own individual merits
  • CASE reserves the right to make eligibility enquiries from other Funding AgenciesThe names of all approved applicants will be published

Tracking Statement

CASE will contact all applicants on a regular basis, on completion of training, to determine the effectiveness if this programme on employability. This evaluation process will include contact with employers and / or Training Providers.
