Half-day course Aims: With the introduction of new legislation on 1st October 2004 this is a ‘must’ for all employers, particularly small businesses who do not have procedures covering dismissal, discipline and grievance. This session will take you though disciplinary rules and procedures covering issues such as misconduct and capability as well as grievances from employees. We will then cover contracts of employment, including constructing a written statement of main terms & conditions. Getting it right is essential as failure to follow new Statutory procedures for a dismissal or grievance will effect the outcome of a tribunal hearing. By the end of this session you will know how to introduce and operate practices and procedures which are fair, effective and easy to understand.
