In the Highlands and Islands, ScotGrad delivers the Social Business Graduate Placement Programme (SBGPP) on behalf of Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE). The programme is funded by HIE and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The programme gives employers the opportunity to deliver a product or service to enhance the sustainability of not-for-profit organisations with a community focus. The duration of the placement can be from six to 12 months but will be pre-agreed with the ScotGrad team.
This is a good opportunity for organisations to take forward a project that will make a difference on a low risk basis. The graduate will bring up to date academic skills and a different outlook to the business. It is also an excellent opportunity for a new graduate to gain valuable work experience.
The graduate should work primarily on the agreed project, without being involved in day-to-day operations of your organisation.
Funding is available for eligible projects.
The programme is available to organisations that are account managed by HIE. HIE operates account management to build close relationships with hundreds of organisations across the Highlands and Islands. Account managed clients have the ambition and potential to trade outwith the region and achieve high growth, or to deliver significant benefits within a fragile area.
The application process will open on the 6th of March and close at 12noon on the 27th of March 2017.
If you are not currently account managed by HIE but are interested in working with us, please contact your local HIE area team.
