The Scottish Investment Bank (SIB) is the investment arm of Scottish Enterprise and works in partnership with Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).
SIB supports economic growth by increasing the supply of finance to Scottish businesses, and helping more companies access finance.
SIB operates a number of equity funds on a shared risk co-investment basis with the private sector. This includes the Renewable Energy Investment Fund.
Where equity investment is provided Scottish Enterprise becomes a shareholder in the business. For established SMEs debt finance is also available from the Scottish Loan Fund.
Companies from across the whole of Scotland are eligible for investment through SIB’s funds.
