£40,000 helped Eat Balanced to develop new products
Eat Balanced markets and sells foods that make it easier for everyone to achieve a balanced diet. Since winning £40,000 of Scottish EDGE funding in round one, the company have developed two nutritionally balanced pizzas, created innovative new packaging, developed two new "healthy" curries and purchased a catering van in order to give out samples at shows and events. Their products are now on the shelves of three of the UK's leading supermarkets and the company has received international press attention.
After winning Scottish EDGE funding Freedom brands won another prestigious award
Freedom brands are the makers of Gococo, a healthy soft drink made out of 100% coconut water. The company won £35,000 in round one to help promote their product across retail outlets in Norway and Denmark. Committed to making their product truly global, they then went on to exhibit at Gulfood - the Middle East's biggest annual food and hospitality show - where they won "best new non-alcoholic beverage" out of the entire show.
Talking Mats launched a new product thanks to Scottish EDGE funding
Talking Mats uses a mat with symbols to help individuals with communication difficulties express themselves effectively. After winning £50,000 in round one the company went on to launch their Talking Book which was a key underpinning of their core products. The company has responded to customer feedback and has evolved to now offer online training courses.
