Sound investment is the route to competitiveness and long-term sustainability for most firms, bringing employment opportunities, income and confidence to the area. By supporting businesses during the restructuring process, the HIE network can play a part in their future well-being, profitability and expansion plans.
Among the options available is the Business Growth Fund, a Scotland-wide scheme enabling small- to medium-sized enterprises to access loans for sound business development projects which otherwise would not attract funding.
Loans ranging from £20,000 to £100,000 are available on advantageous terms. Consideration may also be given to combining this with grants and/or equity from other HIE network schemes.
Priority will be given to projects that create employment. Most sectors, apart from retail, will be considered according to individual Local Enterprise Company priorities. Contact should always be made with your LEC well before the project needs to proceed. |
