DTI's Best Practice web site

As part of the Government's strategy to put the UK at the head of the global e-commerce market, the DTI have created an network of advisers and a resource web site under the banner of Best Practice which now incorporates all of the information, advice and online tools previously available on the UK Online for Business web site - which has recently been replaced by www.direct.gov.uk  

One of the many features on this excellent resource site is the online e-business planning tool.(this is a temporary link which is not yet integrated into the new DTI site) 
This allows you to download and save a customised e-business plan that includes:

  • Details of your selected key e-business solutions;
  • Recommendations to make your initiative a success;
  • Information on related subjects of interest as chosen by you.

Fact Sheet Downloads
As part of the collaboration between the Highlands and Islands Enterprise Network, Scottish Enterprise and the DTI, a number of e-business fact sheets have been produced. These cover a number of important topics that companies new to the e-business model may have to incorporate into their online strategy. They can be downloaded by clicking on the links in the left hand panel of this page.

Links to the new extended range of e-business and legal fact sheets have been added to the right menu panel of this page.

These documents are in the Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) and the free reader can be downloaded from their web site by clicking on the 'Get Adobe Reader' icon below the file names.
