Skillseekers

If you are aged between 16-18 and are in employment, or self employed, you are entitled to work towards a qualification linked to your employment.  If you are looking for work click here.

The type of training is nationally recognised standards - 'VQs' - (vocational qualifications) up to a VQ Level 3.  The training is mostly done in your workplace.  Some qualifications need block or day release visits to college.  You can work at your own speed to get your qualification.

Your qualification will not cost you any money and you may also be entitled to financial help if you have to travel to do your training.  You can find out more information about how you become a Skillseeker from your local Careers Scotland office.

Careers Scotland can help advise you on who would be able to give you training and what qualifcation may be best for you.  Your employer can also contact us to find out more.
