Modern Apprenticeships
If you are over 16 and are in employment, or self employed, it may be possible to work towards a qualification linked to your employment. If you are looking for work click here. Training is to nationally recognised standards - VQs (vocational qualifications). Modern Apprenticeships are concentrated on VQ Level 3 or higher, with the addition of the following core skills: communication, numeracy, information technology, problem solving and working with others, at levels determined by the industry. These core skills are integral to every MA course. The training is mostly done in your workplace. Some qualifications need block or day release visits to college. You can work at your own speed to get your qualification. Your qualification will not cost you any money and you may also be entitled to financial help if you have to travel to do your training.
