Action plan

A mapping exercise assessing the position with regard to service delivery was carried out.  This revealed that there were few areas of overlap, although there is some evidence of perceived confusion amongs the client group and the awareness of the activities of all agencies needs to be improved.

An action plan was submitted to Scottish Executive in October 2001, followed by an addendum in January 2002.  Proposals outlined in the action plan are almost complete.  Essentially, they aim to improve the knowledge of other public sector practitioners, reduce bureaucracy and confusion amongst the client group and establish a singe business contact point.
