Community events and festivals

HIE Argyll and the Islands provides support for a busy calendar of arts and cultural events and festivals which attract visitors to the area.

By helping to make these bigger and better, more visitors can be attracted, to the benefit of the tourism industry and the area's economy.

Events and festivals held in the "shoulder months" (April and October) of the main tourist season, or in the off-season, are of particular interest. These help to extend the traditional summer period for visits.

Examples of the range assisted to date include music festivals and car rallies, seafood festivals and a horse trial – just some of the variety of events and festivals to be enjoyed by visitors and residents in Argyll and the Islands.
