Business skills grants
Discretionary assistance towards training and development will be considered for businesses/organisations - other than Public sector - that are investing in workforce and management training to improve business performance. To qualify for support the business must engage with an HIE Argyll and the Islands adviser to design training to meet specific training needs. The adviser must approve each skill development plan or company training plan and the outcomes must link to improvements in business performance. Retrospective requests for assistance will not be considered. As a guideline, assistance will be considered at 30% of eligible costs. This rate may be varied dependant on individual circumstances. Applications will only be considered where the required level of support is over £250. Assistance will only be considered for costs incurred attending courses delivered by external accredited training providers.
