The importance of air services for economic development and social cohesion in the Highlands and Islands - conference presentation

This paper was given at the 'Transforming Scotland's Transport' conference in Edinburgh on 13 May 2005. It describes recent trends in air passenger transport for both Scotland and the Highlands and Islands, and outlines the economic and social benefits provided by air services to the region. The presentation includes case study material relating to new business and no-frills flights at Inverness and presents the case for further improvements to our regional, cross-border and international air links.

Both Powerpoint presentation and full transcript of the paper are available to download.
