HEAD OF INFORMATION GOVERNANCE

Starting salary: £43,245 per annum, excellent benefits package

Potential future salary progression from £43,245 to £51,610 per annum

Full-time, 35 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced, proactive and ambitious Head of Information Governance to join HIE's senior management team.

The role

As part of this role you'll:

  • Lead on all aspects of HIE strategy and delivery relating to Information Governance and management
  • Provide specialist knowledge to senior management and all HIE staff, fostering a data protection culture within HIE and promoting good practice principles
  • Be the responsible owner for HIE information management, representing the team on the Business Transformation Programme and other internal governance groups
  • Ensure operational compliance in line the Freedom of Information Act, Data Protection Act and Environmental Information Regulations 
  • Lead on HIE's requirements for public reporting and transparency
  • Represent HIE on external forums and engage with external regulators 
  • Work closely with team members, senior managers and colleagues across the organisation, as well as a wide range of external partners and stakeholders

The person

It's essential that you are a proven leader who can quickly build strong working relationships with your direct reports, senior managers, colleagues across HIE and our external partners and stakeholders.

You'll also have confidence in your technical skills, demonstrating practical and operational experience in developing and implementing information governance strategies, policies and management procedures.

You'll also be a strategic thinker, with the ability to lead, influence and motivate staff at all levels.

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - NORTHERN INNOVATION HUB 

Starting salary: £28,386 per annum, excellent benefits package

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Development Manager to join HIE, delivering tourism projects for the Northern Innovation Hub programme.

The role

As part of this role you'll: 

  • Lead and manage projects relating to Digital Tourism and Adventure Tourism
  • Work closely with external contractors, stakeholders and entrepreneurs 
  • Use your marketing, promotion and social media skills to deliver events and workshops 
  • Be a key member of HIE's Northern Innovation Hub project team, working closely with other team members and colleagues across HIE

The person

It's essential that you are an experienced team player with strong communication skills who can work well with colleagues across the organisation.

You'll also have confidence in your technical skills, particularly in project management, to ensure successful delivery of a wide range of tourism projects.

You'll also be able to build and develop effective working relationships with a wide range of partners and clients - local and national.

As a natural communicator and presenter, you'll bring a fresh approach to HIE's work in this field and make a positive contribution to HIE's continuous development and successful delivery of the Northern Innovation Hub programme.

ADMINISTRATOR 

Based in Inverness

Starting salary: £19,052 per annum, excellent benefits package

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Administrator to join HIE's Business Transformation Programme team in Inverness.

The role

As part of this job you'll:

  • Provide high quality administration support to the Business Transformation Programme team on a wide range of tasks, including the maintenance of project plans, risk registers and action logs
  • Ensure governance arrangements for the Business Transformation Programme are in place and operating smoothly
  • Maintain and develop working relationships with external suppliers 
  • Provide management information reports to the Business Transformation Programme board
  • Take minutes at meetings and governance forums
  • Support procurement processes and relevant contract management arrangements and relationships 

The person

It's essential that you are an experienced team player with strong communication skills who can work well with colleagues across the organisation as well as HIE's external partners and clients.

You'll also have confidence in your administrative and organisational skills and be able to manage a varied workload, which involves ever-changing deadlines.
