Development Manager - Lochaber, Skye and Wester Ross

Starting salary £28,386 pro-rata per annum, excellent benefits package

Potential future salary progression from £28,386 to £32,365 pro-rata per annum

Flexible working considered - minimum of 25 hours per week, maximum of 28 hours per week

Location: Auchtertyre, Portree, Inverness or Fort William

We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Development Manager to join our Lochaber, Skye and Wester Ross area team.

The role

As part of this job you’ll:

  • work closely with social enterprise and community groups in the Lochaber, Skye and Wester Ross area, providing development support on a number of key projects
  • work with local and national partners and stakeholders from the public, private and third sector
  • develop an awareness of key funders, and identify funding opportunities, both at regional and national level
  • work closely with area team and HIE colleagues and represent HIE at internal and external meetings as required
  • assess and review development proposals, providing guidance and advice to clients and colleagues as required
  • be a key member of the Lochaber, Skye and Wester Ross area team

The person

It’s essential that you are an experienced and proactive team player with knowledge of local social and community enterprise activity.

You’ll also have proven technical skills, particularly in project appraisal, which includes financial analysis.

By demonstrating your understanding of the issues impacting on communities, you’ll be able to use your strong communication skills to build and develop effective working relationships at all levels.

You’ll bring a fresh approach to HIE’s work in this field and make a positive contribution to HIE’s strengthening communities agenda in Lochaber, Skye and Wester Ross.

Account Manager - Inner Moray Firth 

Starting salary £28,386 per annum, excellent benefits package

Location: Inverness

Fixed term to 31 March 2022

Full-time, 35 hours per week 

We are looking for an experienced, proactive and ambitious Account Manager to join our Inner Moray Firth area team.

The role

As part of this job you'll:

  • Provide intensive account management support to a defined portfolio of clients in order to achieve business growth and impact in the local economy
  • Actively identify new areas of growth and pursue these opportunities 
  • Work closely with HIE's sector teams to support development of businesses
  • Build strong internal and external working relationships to ensure that HIE's account managed clients are receiving the best advice
  • Be a key member of the Inner Moray Firth area team, provide assistance to colleagues when required and making an important contribution to the team's annual targets

The person

It's essential that you can quickly build strong working relationships with senior managers, colleagues across the organisation and HIE's external partners and stakeholders.

You'll have confidence in your technical skills, demonstrating practical and operational experience in the development and success growth of businesses.  You'll also have strong analytical and financial skills.

You'll also be a strong communicator and presenter with the ability to influence a wide range of clients.

Executive Support Administrator 

Starting salary £23,003 per annum, excellent benefits package

Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Executive Support Administrator to join our team in Inverness.

The role

As part of this job you’ll:

  • provide high quality administration support to the Chair of HIE, HIE Board and HIE’s Leadership Team
  • manage requests from UK and Scottish government ministers, ensuring that they are dealt with promptly and recorded effectively
  • assist HIE Board members with a variety of administrative tasks, including the booking of travel and accommodation, reviewing and submitting travel expenses, and booking venues and catering for Board meetings
  • work closely with colleagues in the Executive Support team to ensure that public information is published regularly and kept up to date on the HIE website and;
  • liaise with HIE area team colleagues to ensure that Board meetings and events run smoothly

The person

It’s essential that you are an experienced team player with strong communication skills who can work well with colleagues at all levels across the organisation as well as HIE’s external partners and clients.

You’ll also have confidence in your administrative and organisational skills and be able to manage a varied workload, which often involves ever-changing deadlines.
