HEAD OF INFORMATION GOVERNANCE

Based in Inverness

Starting salary: £42,397 per annum, excellent benefits package

Potential future salary progression from £42,397 to £50,598 per annum

Full-time, 35 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced, proactive individual to join HIE in the role of Head of Information Governance.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of HIE strategy and delivery arrangements related to information governance.   You will also be required to work closely with the Head of Information Systems Strategy Manager on security information arrangements.

You will provide specialised knowledge to senior management and staff, ensuring compliance and best practice on information governance, fostering a data protection culture within HIE whilst also promoting good practice principles of openness, transparency and appropriate data sharing.

To be credible in this role you will bring practical and operational experience in developing and implementing information governance strategies, policies and management procedures.

You will also have experience of writing organisational strategies, policies, procedures and training material.

Experience in risk assessment and management is also essential.

A track record of project management and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are key for this role.

Knowledge and experience of national and European data protection laws and practices is desirable.

HR ASSISTANT - MODERN APPRENTICE

Based in Inverness

Starting salary: £17,358 per annum, excellent benefits package

Potential future salary progression from £18,302 to £20,174 per annum

Full-time, 35 hours per week

Fixed term contract: 18 months

Our Human Resources team has a vacancy for a trainee HR Assistant to join the team and earn while they learn.

In this role, which reports to the HR Manager, you will provide administrative support to the HR team including support for a variety of HR processes including recruitment, induction, learning and development and absence management.

As a Modern Apprentice, you will be supported (both financially and during working time) to undertake a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 3 in business and administration.   You will also receive on the job training and work experience, and on successful completion of the MA qualification have the opportunity to obtain a permanent role with HIE at a promoted grade.   This is an excellent entry level opportunity with the potential for future career development with a great organisation.

The right candidate will be searching for an entry level position with the opportunity to develop and progress.

To be eligible for this role you must be between the ages 18-29 years old and be Care Experienced and be seeking a chance to develop your skills and gain valuable work experience.

HIE recognises that there may be a need to adapt and agree approaches to reflect previous experience, stage of development and specific support needs of the successful candidate.

The right candidate will be searching for an entry level position with the opportunity to develop and progress.

We are therefore looking for someone who is really keen to learn, who would want to work as part of a team, who has good communication skills (both verbal and written) and enjoys working with people.

On successful completion of the MA qualification this post holder will have the potential to obtain a permanent role with HIE.

Salary progression thereafter would be from £18,302 to £20,174 per annum.
