Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is the Scottish Government's economic and community development agency for a region that covers more than half of Scotland. Because of the diverse nature of our business, we offer an ideal location for graduates to develop their skills over the course of a 12 month placement.

Graduate Placement - Heritage Development

Location: Inverness 
Salary: £19,024 per annum
Fixed term: 12 months

The Highlands and Islands region is rich with culture and heritage. There is significant potential to further develop these assets to bring more economic value in terms of community development and the tourism market.

HIE is recruiting for a graduate to work across the region to help evaluate assets and develop business cases identifying the heritage opportunities available. The successful graduate will work with community and heritage groups with a view to developing opportunities that will enhance the tourism experience, particularly around the cruise market.

This is a 12 month placement for a graduate with competent research skills.

Graduate Placement - Responsible Business

Location: Inverness
Salary: £19,024 per annum
Fixed term: 12 months

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), also commonly known as Responsible Business, encourages companies and organisations to be more aware of the impact of their business on the rest of society, including their own stakeholders, community and the environment.  The post will work across the entire business, social enterprise and community portfolio.

We are recruiting for a graduate to support the development of responsible and sustainable business within the HIE area.

Graduate Placement - Information Systems Delivery Coordinator

Location: Inverness
Salary: £19,024 per annum
Fixed term: 12 months

To ensure HIE operates efficiently, it has a number of Information Systems (IS) that support day-to-day duties.  Many of the IS systems are business critical and support functions such as HR, finance, internal communications, travel management, analytics and reporting.

This 12 month placement is for a graduate who can support the IS infrastructure, help manage suppliers and ensure the smooth delivery of any new digital implementations needed.
