The Centre for Health Science Company is launching new initiatives to help young, ambitious companies in the health and life science sector to realise their business potential in an innovative and supportive environment.
As part of a new scheme, the Centre for Health Science is offering flexible leasing opportunities to specifically meet the requirements of new and small businesses operating within this challenging economic climate. In addition to their standard business units the Centre for Health Science has introduced virtual office and hot desk (rent-a-desk) arrangements. These new options offer access to facilities, infrastructure, meeting rooms and business development support that large established companies benefit from but without the need to commit to large premises and lengthy lease terms.
Lindsey Moodie, Business Development Manager, said "We realised from enquiries that start-up and small companies were finding it difficult to find the type of space they required at an affordable cost. We came up with the idea of hot desk and virtual office options which offer all-inclusive packages in a shared and supportive environment. These 'pay as you go' options are designed to nurture new and small businesses by helping them to survive and grow through the difficult and vulnerable stages of development."
The hot desk option offers access to a desk within a fully furnished office and can be rented for as little as half a day and the virtual office provides access to a fully serviced, shared and furnished office for a minimum term of 6 months. Both options are flexible with wifi internet access, reception services, utilities and business rates at an all-inclusive cost.
The Centre for Health Science is the only incubator building dedicated solely to health and life science related organisations in the region and offers an unrivalled innovative and collaborative environment for these types of start up and small companies. The state of the art building boasts meeting rooms, a cafe, library, courtyard and access to a community of expertise and networking events.
To launch this new scheme the Centre for Health Science is hosting a drop-in, open house event to view the facilities on Wednesday 27th April between 11am and 2pm. Support surgeries will be on offer from Interface, Business Gateway, Capella IP and HSBC, and business pitches will be made every hour. This is also an opportunity to see the Centre for Health Science, the facilities it has to offer and to meet with other organisations that reside in the Centre and hear first hand about the benefits of locating here.
