Businesses across the Highlands and Islands thinking about exporting for the first time are being invited to a specialist workshop to assist them with their plans.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), in partnership with Scottish Development International (SDI), is holding an introductory International Preparedness Programme in Inverness on November 3 and 4.
The two-day programme is fully funded by Smart Exporter and is targeted at Highlands and Islands companies that are thinking about exporting for the first time or businesses that are new to exporting.
The free-to-attend programme takes a practical, hands-on approach and will be delivered by experienced exporters and accredited export trainers.
The objective is to provide companies with the appropriate skills and knowledge to confidently and effectively seek out international opportunities.
Subjects include identifying markets, distribution channels and advertising and promotion issues. Attendees will also be helped to develop a practical export plan to help their business grow.
Delivered by Giraffe Consulting, the programme will be held at Cowan House, Inverness.
A six-day standard-level course and a five-day advanced course also get underway later in November.
