Businesses in the Highlands and Islands interested in hearing more about exporting opportunities to one of the UK's largest markets - Japan - are invited to attend a free event in Inverness next week.
On Wednesday 27 November Scottish Development International’s (SDI) Country Head in Japan, Stephen Baker and Highland businessman Gilpin Bradley from Wester Ross Fisheries will be available to share their advice on doing business in Japan.
This event is part of the Smart Exporter international trade skills programme offered to expand exporting knowledge for businesses and individuals in the region. The initiative is delivered in the region by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) in partnership with SDI and with funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Japan is the third largest economy in the world and UK’s largest export market after Europe and the USA . Many Scottish companies are discovering new opportunities across all sectors, as well as a business environment that is straight forward and reliable.
The event is being held in HIE’s offices at Cowan House in Inverness.
