In 2001 Colin Roberts joined ‘Voxar Ltd.’, an early stage medical imaging software spin out from Edinburgh University. Amongst other things, Colin helped to develop and manage the Voxar brand, product line and business development activities leading to a highly successful exit via Barco NV of Belgium in 2005-2006. Toshiba Medical Systems acquired Barco’s medical imaging software division in 2009 and Colin completed the journey from start-up to global multinational.
In his current role as ‘Fellow’ in Business Analysis Colin plays an active part in defining the future direction of the newly formed Toshiba Healthcare Company which aims to expand Toshiba’s offering into new markets beyond medical imaging equipment.
Meet the 2015 Pathfinder teams
Last year HIE ran its first ever Pathfinder Accelerator programme to encourage the growth of start ups and SMEs working in life sciences. Well, it’s back again this year, with nearly four times the number of participants and an expansion into sectors including engineering and technology.
This event will mark the halfway stage of the intensive twelve week Pathfinder programme currently underway. It will be an opportunity for you to meet this year’s teams and network with leaders from business, professional services, entrepreneurship support, academia and the NHS.
A light buffet will be provided.
