Promoting healthy ageing and personalised healthcare is at the forefront of Scotland’s and the EU’s Agenda

This workshop will outline the upcoming funding and collaborative opportunities that will be included in the European Commission 2016 and 2017 Horizon 2020 work programmes.

These contain a range of Health, demographic change and wellbeing priorities including:
Personalised medicine, rare diseases, human bio-monitoring, mental health, comparative effectiveness research, advanced technologies, e/m-health, patient empowerment, active and healthy ageing, , valorisation, anti-microbial resistance, and infectious diseases including vaccines.

The event will also provide the opportunity to discuss and further develop your own project concepts with other attendees and the available support teams.

The agenda will include:

  •     Looking Ahead: A Preview of Funding Opportunities for 2016 and 2017
  •     Round table discussions covering; Health, well-being and disease, preventing disease, Treating and managing diseases, Active Aging & Self-management of health including Methods and data and Healthcare provision & integrated care
  •     Opportunities for SMEs
  •     Funding Opportunities in other EU programmes

Open to all innovative Scottish stakeholders, particularly academia, industry (large companies and SMEs), public sector stakeholders and research and technology organisations.
