While the sectors face challenges finding a route to market the publication of the UK Government’s Industrial Strategy and the Scottish Government’s Energy Strategy provide new opportunities.

Join us as we debate these challenges and opportunities and learn about the cutting-edge developments helping build these industries of the future. The programme of speakers will bring together industry leaders, public sector representatives and investors to discuss the latest policy issues affecting wave and tidal energy in Scotland. The varied program includes:

Day 1

  • Wave and Tidal Energy: Building an Industry. Keynote Speaker, ?Brendan Corr, Chief Commercial Officer, OpenHydro
  • Wave Energy: The Story So Far
  • Tides: Join this session to hear about the exciting progress being made by tidal energy projects in Scottish waters.
  • Innovating for Marine Energy Technologies: A competitive marine energy sector is being driven through innovative processes, technology and learning.

The Marine Conference Dinner will take place on Tuesday 12 September at Glen Ord Distillery, just outside Inverness. Guests will be treated to a private tour of Glen Ord, one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, before enjoying a hearty three-course meal and a dram.
