Retooling for sustainable growth
Futureproofing your engineering or manufacturing business through practical innovation
Co-hosted with the Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC) and the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS).
This event will give engineering and manufacturing SMEs in the Highlands and Islands a chance to hear industry experts talk about the necessary technological and organisational changes that they need to make within their businesses to ensure they remains competitive in an ever changing economic landscape.
Innovative manufacturing and the utilisation of leading edge technologies are drivers of sustainable growth.
Within manufacturing SMEs, the need to attend to business as usual can make horizon scanning and investment in new ways of working take a back seat. But with the rapid emergence of new technologies, the change in traditional supply chains and the rise of cross-sector collaborations, it has never been more important to innovate for the future.
Delegates can expect to hear from the AFRC, the University of Strathclyde Business School, SMAS, the Oil and Gas Innovation Centre and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
9.30am – 3pm
