Admission Fee: This market visit is free for eligible Scottish companies to attend. You'll be responsible for your own travel and accommodation costs, however we can provide a travel grant of £500.00 for eligible companies.

The visit will consist of market briefings by the Department for International Trade in the US and our local partners. You will be given an overview of legal considerations of doing business in the US. The visit will also cover financial considerations for trading in the US.
SDI will approach local contacts with a view to book one-to-one appointments with potential clients/partner organisations/importers in Chicago. This will also be done for the extended visit if it is applicable.
The market visit to Chicago takes place on 6-8 November. There will be an opportunity to extend the visit on 8 and 9 November to Kentucky or Denver.

We will extend the visit to either Kentucky or Denver on 8 and 9 November 2017. Due to its location in the central United States and Bourbon manufacturing, Kentucky is most suitable for products sold via the internet, distribution, food and drink companies. Denver is the location for federal, high-tech, educational, commercial, financial, cultural, tourist, storage, and distribution services.
