Wave Energy Scotland First Annual Conference

02 December 2016

FRIDAY 2ND DECEMBER 2016
SOUTH HALL COMPLEX, POLLOCK HALLS OF RESIDENCE 18 HOLYROOD PARK ROAD, EDINBURGH EH16 5AY

The inaugural Wave Energy Scotland (WES) Annual Conference will take place on Friday 2nd December in Edinburgh. It is a one day conference designed to inform delegates on the progress of the WES programme. There are 30 projects running, involving 11 countries which are focussed on Power Take-Off (PTO) and Novel Wave Energy Converter (NWEC) programmes.

Wave Energy Scotland was established in 2014 to drive the development of a commercial market for wave energy technologies which will create jobs and generate electricity from some of the world’s best wave resources. Now operating for two years, WES wants to share knowledge on the progress made to date and the plans for the programmes going forward.

Conference delegates will:

• Meet organisations currently involved in the WES programme
• Learn about the progress being made in the PTO and NWEC projects
• Hear details about future WES calls including one focussed on control systems
