Diversity of Private Sector Boards 

- Over 70 people attended an event in February 2017, hosted by the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise and HIE, to explore the business benefits of gender diversity on private sector boards.to explore the business benefits of gender diversity on private sector boards. The event highlighted research on overcoming barriers to diversity on corporate boards and the role of the Scottish Government’s Partnership for Change and Scottish Business Pledge initiatives.

Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, gave the keynote address. She participated in panel discussion with business leaders who gave their perspectives of the contribution which women can make to business leadership.
