VisitScotland has issued some timely advice on how tourism businesses can maximise their market share.
The advice in their eUpdate newsletter suggests a number of ideas to help ensure promotional budgets punch above their weight.
Among the advice is to contact previous customers with details of events or offers and target marketing effort in Canada, Europe, Scotland and northern England. A third suggestion is to strengthen links with other businesses and initiate cross promotion of what each has to offer.
The newsletter also outlines what VisitScotland has been doing lately in response to the current economic climate.
