03 April 2008 The Objective 3 Partnership final event and awards ceremony was held in Glasgow on 18 March to celebrate 8 years of activity by the Partnership, including rounds 1 & 2 of EQUAL. Hi Hopes Development won the award for the 'Most successful outcome for Transitional Activity' in recognition of the work undertaken by Cope Ltd. (a social enterprise from Shetland) and the Barka Foundation in Poland. Working closely with Cope, the Barka management team gained the skills required to manage an innovative new business, the production and retail of soap, in a deprived area of Poznan.
