Keynote speaker

David Tinsley, UK Economist, Clydesdale Bank - Prior to joining the Clydesdale he spent six years at the Bank of England, forecasting development within the UK and European economies. He has also spent time working in economic consultancy working on a wide range of economic issues, and in Government.

Highlights Include

  • Jim Mather MSP, Minster of Enterprise, Energy and Tourism will address delegates on government support of the tourism industry
  • Amid talk of an approaching “credit crunch” and weak dollar make sure you are prepared for the year ahead; learn about national and international economic and lifestyle trends which are likely to impact on your business

Scottish Tourism Week 2008 (4th – 11th March)

Scottish Tourism Week (STW) was conceived by the Scottish Tourism Forum (STF) to raise awareness of the importance of tourism to the Scottish economy. It offers businesses opportunities to network and to get their message across to our politicians.

Events Include:

Forestry Commission Scotland familiarisation visit for tourism businesses. These will take place at Queen Elizabeth Forest Park by Aberfoyle Tweed Valley Forest Park by Peebles and Glenmore Forest Park by Aviemore).
