North scoops four in Scottish Thistle Awards
29 October 2007

The Highlands and Islands have taken their fair share of the spoils at the Scottish Thistle Awards, with no less than four of the top prizes coming north.

Joan Campbell, owner of The Sheiling Bed and Breakfast in Sutherland, was named as the Silver Thistle winner while the other awards were in the accommodation, food and people development categories.

Topping the pile for accommodation customer care were Milness Croft Luxury Cottages of Inverness.

Reinforcing once again its reputation as an eatery was Captain's Galley Seafood Restaurant, Scrabster which won the Taste of Scotland award.

The HIE-sponsored small business plaudit for people development, meanwhile, went even further north; to The Shetland Fudge Company in Lerwick.
