Breakfast, lunch and knowledge in Forres
24 October 2007

Business people in Moray are being given an exciting opportunity to learn the secrets of success at an event run by HIE Moray today (October 24).

Julie Meyer, founder of the largest global network of entrepreneurs, First Tuesday is opening the seminar with a presentation on business transformation and Web 2.0, highlighting its benefits to businesses. She is followed by Garry Fraser of LH Stainless, a Moray-based process engineering and manufacturing firm for the food and drink, distilling, brewing and offshore industries.

The Breakfast, Lunch Knowledge (BLK) session is the first of three in a series of three E-business breakfasts happening over the next six months where key speakers present on their areas of considerable expertise.

The idea of the BLK event is to link up the E-business breakfast to presentations and seminars on business transformation throughout the morning, followed by a lunch hosted by the tenants of Horizon Scotland.

Speakers at the event include Stephan Agamanolis, chief executive of Distance Lab, Iain Russell, chief executive of Intellectual Assets Centre and David Sim, director of research for Open Brolly.

Howell Davies, development manager at HIE Moray said: "The presentations from those dynamic forward thinkers will be really stimulating for Moray's business community and offers key insights into ensuring your business thrives. HIE Moray is really pleased to be supporting this event which should be entertaining as well as inspirational and promotes the transformation of business through learning and innovation."

HIE Moray provides help and support to entrepreneurs thinking of starting up a business in Moray.
