| 26 July 2007 Michelle Mone, founder and co-owner of MJM International, a multi-million pound lingerie company, will round off the evening at Lochaber's Pride and Produce awards dinner with an inspiring after-dinner speech. Nominations are being sought for an 'Outstanding Contribution to the Community' award. Charlotte Wright, area director of HIE Lochaber said: "This award will be presented on the evening to an individual who has made a major contribution to our community. "We are looking for an individual who has inspired and brought the community together, and has worked tirelessly to provide a sustainable benefit to the area. He or she will have been an ambassador for Lochaber, and will have promoted its diversity, culture and /or community spirit. As well as applauding individual and employer successes, the evening event aims to highlight the strong economic benefits that Lochaber businesses have to offer. The best of Lochaber produce will grace the tables, showcasing a fine range of fresh local food. This year's event will be a full black tie affair with a creative industries theme, including a range of media input, fashion, film and fun,said Tina Davenport, a skills development manager at HIE Lochaber. "Dougie Vipond will once again host the evening, so we now have all the ingredients of a recipe for success!" The event is being held on Friday, November 2, at the Alexandra Hotel in Fort William and tickets cost £55, or £440.00 per full table of eight.
