| 09 May 2007 Organisations from the Highlands and Islands will attend an informal day to help community, voluntary and public organisations find out about the EU-funded Northern Periphery Programme. Organised by the international affairs team at Highlands an Islands Enterprise (HIE), the event is at the Drumossie Hotel, Inverness tomorrow 10 May. The EU-funded Northern Periphery Programme (NPP) 2007 -2013 aims to encouraging transnational co-operation between the regions of Europe. The Highlands and Islands of Scotland, along with Dumfries and Galloway, are included, along with parts of Sweden, Finland and Norway; the Faeroe Islands; Greenland; Iceland; west Ireland and Northern Ireland. Places at the information day are limited to 60, and can be reserved online by filling in the booking form on the HIE website.
