International design expert Jonathan Sands is to deliver a talk on 'success by design' in Inverness next week at the invitation of The Chartered Institute of Marketing in Scotland (CIM) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland (CIOBS).

Jonathan is the chairman of Elmwood Design Ltd and a member of the Design Council. He will be sharing secrets on how to improve the effectiveness of design in business at the Marriot Hotel, Inverness, on the evening of Thursday 3 May.

The event forms part of the Design into Business Initiative launched by the Six Cities Design Festival - Scotland's first national celebration of design that will promote the concept of design as a strategic business tool.

Alistair Murray, CIM Scotland director said: "We're delighted to be running this high profile event in conjunction with Six Cities and so this master class will be free of charge as part of CIM's remit to disseminate best practice."

The event is being sponsored by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Joanne Blanusa, senior development manager of business transformation, added: "These master classes are gaining a reputation for superb speakers and excellent networking opportunities. We are looking forward to working together to help raise the importance of design in business as well as Jonathan Sands showing us all how design can enhance business performance, productivity and international competitiveness."

The Inverness Marriot Master Class is expected to be another full house. Those interested in attending should call 0845 4500 903 for more information.
