Scotland is tops for mountain biking. And that’s official.
Forestry Commission Scotland presents the evidence in a new action-packed DVD production featuring some of the premier mountain bike trails in Scotland. Designed to heighten Scotland’s profile as a mountain biking destination, the DVD promo takes a high energy look at the best trails in the Highlands and Islands.
The movie short packs in a lot, and will appeal to a wide range of riders and skills levels as it highlights a variety of terrains, all set to specially-composed music and sound-scapes.
The main feature runs for 3 minutes 20 seconds. A bonus feature, with subtitles in English or Gaelic, shows keen riders and business people explaining why Scotland is such a magnet for mountain biking. Available in either standard or looped (continuous play) format, the DVD is aimed primarily at mountain biking and tourism-related companies requiring suitable multimedia content for video display and other marketing purposes.
A web version is available to view on www.forestry.gov.uk/mtbscotland.
But for the full high definition, surround sound DVD version, please contact Fiona Murray, Forest Tourism Initiative Manager, at fiona.murray@forestry.gsi.gov.uk, with your contact details and some information on your planned use of the DVD.
Explained Fiona, “A copy of the DVD is available to any business which could use it to enhance their visitor/customer experience by introducing visitors to the exceptional mountain bike trails across the country. Whether you hope to entice people to stay longer, hire bikes, buy equipment, drink more coffee, the DVD may have something to offer you.”
The Forest Tourism Initiative is a partnership between Scottish Enterprise, Forestry Commission Scotland, VisitScotland and Highlands and Islands Enterprise, which aims to expand and enhance the visitor experience of Scotland's forests.
