'Appointment and management of agents and distributors' - Thu 1 March.

HIE Inverness and East Highland is running two international trade workshops, to assist local companies with exporting.
The first workshop called 'Introduction to exporting' is scheduled for Friday 23rd February. The one-day workshop is designed for companies that are new to exporting, and / or where a delegate has recently taken up a new export-related post. The course provides information on why companies should consider exporting, the export process, terminology, how to build an export price, VAT, and getting paid.
The second workshop called 'Appointment and management of agents and distributors' is scheduled for Thursday 1st March. This one-day workshop is for staff involved in the sales and marketing and the control and appointment of agents and distributors. Course contents include market entry strategy, the role of agents/distributors, how to find them, how to motivate them, legal contracts, and much more.
These practical workshops run from 9am to 4.30pm, are being held at The Green House in Inverness, and are free of charge. Course notes, case studies and refreshments are also provided.
