Who cares wins offers opportunity to visit successful Scottish business
02 February 2007

Managers and owners of businesses in the Outer Hebrides are offered the opportunity to visit some of the most successful businesses in Scotland.

The Learning Journey, part funded by the Who Cares Wins project, will include visits to businesses that are committed to excellence and that are recognised at a world class level.

Who Cares Wins is a business support programme funded by HIE Innse Gall and supported by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and VisitScotland to encourage business excellence in customer service.  This event will highlight the business benefits to be gained by providing consistent high quality customer service.

The learning journey starts on Monday 12 March, leaving from Stornoway and returning Thursday 16 March.  The programme includes a visit to the award winning Lodge at Daviot Mains, MacDonald Inchrya Grange Hotel and the Lodge on Loch Lomond.

Also included in the programme of visits is the recently refurbished Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow in addition to various other small businesses that are committed to improving standards.

The Hilton Hotel's customer service conference will explain how leading edge companies operate and strive for continuous improvement and innovation in customer service.

During these visits, creative methods will be introduced to the delegates to envision a more successful future for their customers.

Lisa Maclean, co-ordinator of the Who Cares Wins project said:  "Delegates will hear from prestigious operational managers and learn from other participants and get a real flavour of successful businesses.  This is a great opportunity to get advice and top tips on providing excellent customer service.  Owners and managers of businesses in the Outer Hebrides will be inspired by winning service strategies and success stories."

Spaces are limited but business owners and managers who are interested in attending should contact Lisa Maclean on 01851 703703 or email info@whocareswins.org.uk
