Following the success of the maiden issue, HI-energy news is back. With a range of articles this second issue of HIE's newsletter  for the renewable energy industry focuses on micro-generation from both business and householder perspectives. Here is what you can look forward to:

Our centre section features the west coast company Chillwind and their battle against the elements to provide wind monitoring systems, as well as building their own ecologically sound building. In addition we're also getting into the nitty-gritty of householder micro-gen, with a couple of case studies highlighting the benefits of going small-scale.

The spotlight is firmly on Nicholas Gubbins - chief executive of Highlands and Islands Community Energy Company - as he tells us what inspires him. We round off with an update on the Glendoe project and the novel road energy system that keeps Invisible Heating's driveway 100% ice free.
