The creative industries in the Highlands and Islands are being offered a free one day seminar on connecting, collaborating and change later this month.

The seminar, being staged by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Skillsco, will be run on three separate dates in Inverness, Dingwall and Elgin.

Each day will feature a local buyer, who will provide advice on what they look for from suppliers. Keynote speaker is Chic McSherry, AchieveMore, explaining how to sell products and services, understanding the buying motivations of customers and building clear propositions for sales people based on matching benefits.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to choose two sessions from four other speakers covering:
Finding and Bidding for Public Sector Contracts
            Investigating the Potential in Europe
            Growing Your Business
            Pricing Your Product.

Linda Davidson, of Public Tender, will be speaking to Finding and Bidding for Public Sector Contracts and discussing how  www.publictender.co.uk gives access to local and Scotland-wide contract opportunities from Highland Council, Moray Council, Northern Constabulary, Scottish Natural Heritage, Argyll and Bute Council etc.

Investigating the Potential in Europe  will be the subject for Ilona Warburton, of Euro Info Centre, who will examine how companies can get access to business opportunities with the European Union.
