DDA free seminar - Doing business with the MOD
06 September 2006

The Ministry of Defence's Defence Diversification Agency (DDA) in association with Highlands and Islands Enterprise invites you to a free seminar to explain how local businesses and scientific research organisations can access opportunities with the MOD.

‘Doing Business with the MOD’

Accessing defence business and technology opportunities with the DDA

Horizon Scotland, The Enterprise Park, Forres Tuesday 26th September, 9.00 – 13.00

The DDA and HIE have recently engaged in a collaborative agreement in Moray and throughout the Highlands and Islands to promote more widely the transfer of UK defence technology for the development of commercial products and processes.

This event, marking the launch of this collaboration, will illustrate how the area’s business and commercial communities can benefit.

The DDA is a major Government initiative to make UK defence science and technology knowledge more accessible to industry. The DDA helps companies access the expertise that will help them innovate and grow. Many companies find it difficult to see how defence can benefit them, but as you will hear, the DDA has many examples of highly successful, commercial products and processes that have been enabled by defence technology.

The DDA/HIE agreement will enhance the DDA’s ability to broker technology transfer deals with Highlands and Islands and Moray companies in a broad range of industries including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, electronics, textiles and communications.
