| Waste gets green treatment from Dr Eco | |
| 11 April 2006 A fledgling Argyll business known for its unique eco-friendly waste disposal system has expanded. Dr Eco Services Ltd which was set up last year has now diversified into the area of drain inspections and jetting with help from Argyll and the Islands Enterprise (AIE). The company has made a significant investment in the new project, which includes the purchase of a jetter lorry and specialist camera equipment. This will create a full-time job. David McPherson has over 20 years experience in this sector, and his new service, which builds upon the existing business of septic tank waste disposal, will appeal to construction companies, public authorities, industrial businesses and householders. Their unique system which de-waters sludge on-site reduces loads by up to 90 per cent, increases business efficiency and minimises landfill. The drain inspection side of the business offers a local service that was previously unavailable. This makes it more cost effective and personal than employing contractors from outside the area. AIE provided business start-up assistance which included free information and advice and funding to help get the business off the ground. Ken Abernethy, chief executive of AIE, said: "Dr Eco Services Ltd has built on its success since its initial start up and this is a logical expansion for the business." If you would like to know more about the assistance you may receive from AIE please contact 01546 602281 or aie@hient.co.uk | |
