Social Enterprise Day

Social Enterprise Day
02 November 2005

To celebrate Social Enterprise Day and the mainstreaming of the work of Highlands and Islands Social Enterprise Zone (HISEZ), HIE is holding an information day where you can find out all you need to know about forming a community interest company.

HISEZ is the first organisation to register as a Community Interest Company in Scotland and we would like the opportunity to promote its structure as a dynamic way to advance the development of social enterprises in the Highlands and Islands.

The innovative CIC legal structure is a new tool in the toolbox of social enterprise and has specifically been designed to help social enterprises thrive, prosper and expand. This event is an opportunity to find out from those who helped to set up HISEZ CIC, what is involved and how it may develop. It will be a chance to explore how we can use this structure creatively.
