Modern Apprenticeship managers for tourism and hospitality
30 September 2005

Forward-looking companies know the value of developing their staff. Using the Modern Apprenticeship scheme, two newly qualified managers have been recognised.

Isabelle Trophime hails from central and has been working with Holiday Inn Express in Inverness for some years. Her award includes a Scottish Vocational Qualification in Management Level 3, making Isabelle more useful to Holiday Inn and opening up career opportunities for the future.

Tania Pederson is a manager with Cairngorm Mountain and her years of experience are now enhanced with an SVQ in Management. The next time you visit Cairngorm you may notice the difference.

The training awards were sponsored by their Local Enterprise Companies. Both managers have spent more than 18 months in instruction and assessment to achieve their awards.

“It’s been hard work but well worth it”, they agree. And Terry Rogers, of the training company Development Partners, adds, ”It has been a pleasure to help these two new managers achieve their awards. Their ability and hard work will continue to bring them success.”
