Statement regarding Highland 2007 press release by the Highland Council, 10th March 2005

Following the announcement that Highland 2007 has launched a community funding programme to help Highland-based groups increase the number and quality of community arts and cultural events in the run up to Highland 2007, Lochaber Enterprise has issued the following statement:

Charlotte Wright, chief executive of Lochaber Enterprise, said: "We welcome the news that this fund is being made available to all community groups across the Highlands. This is a great opportunity for Lochaber community groups and organisations to put together some high quality projects and events and bid for a share of the £3 million community fund. "I have no doubt that Lochaber will develop an excellent programme of local events in the run up to the Highland 2007 celebrations."
