Lochaber Enterprise in search of new board members

Lochaber Enterprise, the organisation responsible for economic and community development in Lochaber, is in search of new board directors.

As one of 10 local enterprise companies within the Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) network, Lochaber Enterprise provides advice, information and financial help for developing businesses, training, community development and improving the environment.

Directors are responsible for setting strategy and developing policy, providing advice and guidance to the enterprise company, as well as advising on larger financial investments. The board meets up to eight times per year.

The post is not remunerated, but travel and subsistence costs associated with carrying out the work of the board are reimbursable.

Chief Executive, Charlotte Wright, said: "We are seeking applications from men and women who live and work in Lochaber and are interested in putting something back into the community. We'd be keen to hear from anyone who, by virtue of their personal, business or community experience, can add value to our activities.

"Board members play an essential and influential role in helping set Lochaber Enterprise policy and strategy. We have been fortunate to date in attracting excellent board members who have found the experience interesting and worthwhile."
